Chelsea Big Local is a successor to the Worlds End and Lots Road Big Local. Created by the National Trust using funds provided by the National Lottery Community Fund.
What made the Big Local community project special, was that the objectives of the project were decided up on by the residents themselves.
From the outset we understood that local residents knew what it would take to drive positive change within their own community.
Over the last decade, we have organised events, supported local projects, and worked hard to deliver our residents priorities: improvements to green and open spaces, community events that bring people together, services targeted at young people, and delivering jobs, training and enterprise opportunities for the entire community.
The creation of the Chelsea Big Local as a successor organisation will enable a long term self-sufficient legacy for the original Big Local project which will continue to serve the evolving needs of our local residents.
